So that was Chistmas.
Not the usual for me, but quite pleasant, I didn't drink to much, I didn't eat to much and spent some time with family, and some quiet time on the beach watching the sunset.
Have been out for some easier flat road rides. Easing myself back onto the bike. Not recording dist's etc yet. just taking it easy.
Planning a bigger overnight ride at New years. On the MTB and camping overnight. I think its a nice way to welcome the new year. Will try to get some photo's happening. i think ive worked out the issues there..

Feel echh.
So just as soon as I post that I'm planning to get fit. I instead get sick. So nothing to report here, I did get out for a couple rides early in the week, but fairly easy starting out with some km's on the road bike.
Now my life is resting, drinking water, and sleeping.

An actual blog post.
Hello internet.
I started this blog so i could have an account on blogger, therefore giving me the ability to contribute to another blog. I never had a plan for this and so its sat idle for some time.
As of now, I'm putting it to use. This will be my training diary. I'm making it public so I can be shamed into actually keeping up with this training. I don't know how interesting this thing will be. I'm not writing for you dear reader, but to help motivate and focus myself. Your input is appreciated- tell me to harden up or get back on the bike or whatever. Maybe you can learn something from my mistakes or even successes.
First up, here's my goals.
I'm going to race the 2011 Kona Dirty Weekend. Its a 24hr race here in Adelaide, Australia.
I've done it twice before. First time I sucked- and slept. Second time, I possibly had the form of my life and a solid build up. I finished 3rd, but I should have won it. Weather was tough, my body and mind started to let me down and I woke up by the fire at 5am. I had about an hour and a half off the bike and it cost me.
So my second goal is to ride through, minimal stopping, NO SLEEP.
They are the main two goals. Others will come.
